Rules & Regulations

In order to maintain safety to all riders and horses, we have established the following rules:

  1. Smoking is prohibited inside of the barn or in areas surrounding the barn.
  2. Alcohol is not permitted during any Zion Farm activities.
  3. Liability releases must be signed before anyone may ride any horses.
  4. Horses coming onto Zion Farm's property must have a current coggins (within the year).
  5. Helmets are required for riders under 18 years of age and strongly suggested for everyone riding at Zion Farm.
  6. No dogs are allowed without prior permission from Zion Farm.
  7. Fire arms of any type or form are not permitted on Zion Farm property.
  8. Picking up after yourself and your horse will help us to keep Zion Farm clean for all to use. If you open it, please close it. If you turn it on, please turn it off.
  9. You are hereby advised that direct loss, damage or injury to your horse, tack, equipment or trailer is not covered by Zion Farm insurance, while on these premisis. You as the owner of these personal property items have the financial interest in same, therefore it is up to you to be sure that they are insured under a homeowner's, tenant's, or other insurance policy, or under a separate policy as in the case of loss, injury, damage or death of a horse.
  10. Coming to clinics at Zion Farm is considered a privilege. Actions such as stealing, use of narcotics, flagrant damage or destruction of stable property, abuse of animals, physical or verbal abuse of any person or any other actions which are deemed detrimental to Zion Farm will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate expulsion from the premisis.
  11. No stallions are permitted to participate in clinics without prior consent from the clinician and Zion Farm.

North Carolina Equine Liability Law

Under North Carolina Law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risks of equine activities. - Chapter 99E of the North Carolina Statutes

The above rules may be changed or added to at any given time without warning.
